At CareMaster we respond to emergency service calls for water damage almost every day. There are many factors that may cause a water loss in your home or business; fresh water supply lines, HVAC unit, water heaters, washing machine, dishwasher, and roof leaks.
A crucial factor in restoring your property after a water loss is rapid structural drying. Once part of a structure is affected by water it is essential to begin drying within 24 hours. After 72 hours the potential for mold growth increases greatly. Not only does dwelling time increase the possibility for fungal growth but it also increase the likelihood that clean water will turn into contaminated water. In many cases the insurance company will cover water damage but not cover other damages in which are pre-existing.
When CareMaster responds to your emergency our experienced managers will walk through the property with you to conduct and assess damages. It is during this preliminary inspection that we confer with the client to inform them of the procedures that will be necessary to facilitate rapid drying of the structure.
CareMaster’s trained technicians will take necessary steps to assure that your property is restored and back to normal. They will extract bulk moisture from ducts and floor coverings and set drying equipment in place to promote rapid drying of the structure.
CareMaster has the most drying equipment of any other mold remediator in Eastern North Carolina. Not only do we have standard air movers and dehumidifiers for normal drying situations, but we also have equipment to handle specialty drying situations. When we remove equipment from the site you can be assured is has been dried to within acceptable moisture content levels. We will use our moisture detection equipment to take readings and document what we find.
Below are some actions that we will take on every water damage project:
Right on time.
“In January of 2005 we found ourselves in quite a predicament. A Newly renovated building almost ready for occupancy had a water heater burst and flood the entire building over a weekend. We called CareMaster and they were on the scene within one hour. They helped get the leak stopped, and dried out the building and helped in the recovery. CareMaster demonstrated knowledge and professionalism and used the right equipment to dry out the facility. That helped to limit our timeline for renovation and keep us on schedule. They were there when we needed them.”
